THERMOPLAST announced the acquisition of Nextrusions

LAVAL, Québec. – THERMOPLAST announced the acquisition of Nextrusions (manufacturer of window and door profiles, division of VISION Group).  Following the transaction, the Nextrusions plant is renamed THERMOPLAST Nextrusions. This transaction allows THERMOPLAST to increase its production capacity and almost all employees will retain their positions.

The Nextrusions plant is located in Anjou, with 18 extrusion lines and nearly 100 employees.

Martin Boulanger (Partner, VP Finance & Marketing) mentioned that this is an important and exciting day:  « This transaction is entirely in line with our objective of always remain alert and continue to seek for growth opportunities. It ensures that we will remain a highly competitive company for years to come. »

Jean Marois (Partner, VP Sales & Engineering) added: « We are now better equipped to maintain and expand our leading position in the Quebec and Maritimes market and to continue to develop and offer innovative, high-quality products and a superior customer experience. »

As part of the transaction THERMOPLAST and VISION signed a Supply, Service and Technology agreement.

Mike McCullough (Partner, VP Operations & HR) concluded by saying: 

« THERMOPLAST has recently become a standalone company where all decisions are made locally.  Taken as a whole, this transaction secures our supply chain and gives us the capacity and flexibility to respond to growth opportunities. »

ABOUT THERMOPLAST

THERMOPLAST is the market leader in Quebec and the Maritimes for the design and extrusion of door and window systems.  The company stands out for the experience of its team, the strong relationship it has with its customers and its unique technical and marketing support.

The plant was recently acquired by Martin Boulanger, Jean Marois and Mike McCullough from ENERGI Fenestration Solutions.  Originally founded in 1966, the plant was also owned by Royal Building Products. THERMOPLAST is located in Laval and now employs more than 250 people.
