Vision Group Acquires ENERGI, While Parceling Out Some Locations.
Door and window company ENERGI Fenestration Solutions has been acquired by Vision Group. At the same time, two of ENERGI's plants were acquired by Novatech Group Inc. and by several ENERGI employees who are resurrecting an old brand: Thermoplast Extrusions.
Ownership of ENERGI was transferred to Vic De Zen, CEO of Vision Group, who founded Royal Group Technologies Ltd. (ENERGI's predecessor) in 1970.
Novatech, a manufacturer of steel entry doors, patio doors and residential insulating glass units, acquired ENERGI's patio door plant in Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada.
Employees Michael McCullough, Jean Marois and Martin Boulanger have acquired ENERGI's extrusion plant in Laval, Quebec, Canada, and now form Thermoplast Extrusions. Thermoplast brand products are currently available throughout Quebec and the Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island).
Vision Group officials have stated that some positions will be eliminated after the company is restructured. However, Thermoplast tells DWM that there will be no changes in Laval, the structure will remain unchanged and the newly formed company will keep all employees.
